New CFO Orientation 2012 will be held Wednesday, March 21, to Friday, March 23. Sessions will be at CFC Headquarters in Dulles, Virginia, and at NRECA in Arlington, Virginia. Orientation begins at 8 am on Wednesday and wraps up at noon on Friday. Attire is business casual.
Get hotel information for the Courtyard Marriott Dulles Town Center. You can obtain a special room rate at the hotel, and shuttle service from the hotel to Orientation events will be provided.
Who Should Attend?
The New CFO Orientation is designed for new chief financial officers of electric cooperatives with no more than two years of experience in their current position. Invitees can also include those who hold the titles of “directors of finance” or “controller.”
Spouses and Family Members: Please note there are no activities for spouses or family members during the Orientation. Attendees will be involved with group activities the entire time, including evenings.
Program Content and CPE Credits
Check the agenda for the complete Orientation program. A total of 15.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits will be offered.
This Orientation will familiarize new CFOs with the national associations and resources available to support them and their systems. Interactive sessions will provide a detailed overview of programs and services that help new CFOs successfully address cooperative finance, regulatory, and accounting and tax issues affecting their jobs and the electric cooperative network.
