National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) | Represents interests of electric cooperative utilities and the consumers they serve on Capitol Hill. It is an advocate for cooperatives on energy and operational issues as well as community and economic development.

Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange | Provides a stable insurance market specifically for rural electric and telephone utilities. Its primary goal is to provide long-term coverage availability and service at a reasonable cost.

NRTC | Represents the advanced telecommunications and information technology interests of 1,500 rural utilities and affiliates in 48 states. It provides products and services developed specifically to meet the needs of rural utilities and their customers.

Cooperative.com | A secure, private website for members of the electric cooperative family. It is sponsored by contributions from NRECA, CFC and Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange, and provides tools, information and educational opportunities to strengthen the cooperative network. 

Farmer Mac

Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac) | A stockholder-owned, government-sponsored enterprise created by Congress to improve the availability of long-term credit for American agriculture and rural communities. Farmer Mac works with CFC as a secondary market for rural utility loans to cooperative borrowers.

Homestead Funds

Homestead Funds | A family of publicly traded, no-load mutual funds established in 1990 by National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The fund company was created for members of the electric cooperative family and welcomes investors affiliated with member systems.

National Cooperative Bank

National Cooperative Bank (NCB) | Provides comprehensive banking services to cooperatives and other member-owned organizations throughout the country. NCB serves cooperative organizations such as grocery wholesaler cooperatives, purchasing cooperatives and housing cooperatives.


National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA) | The trade association for cooperative businesses in the United States, teamed with its international development arm. The organization provides cross-sector advocacy, education and technical assistance that helps cooperative businesses thrive.


National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) | An information technology company that develops and supports software and hardware solutions for its member-owners, primarily utility cooperatives and telecommunications companies across the nation.


National Rural Economic Developers Association (NREDA) | A member organization dedicated to the advancement of rural economic development. It provides education and networking opportunities to promote the exchange of ideas and information between association members to further the movement of growing and revitalizing rural America through economic enhancement.

Rural Utilities Service

Rural Utilities Service (RUS) | An agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and successor to the Rural Electrification Administration (REA). It provides financing for electric, telecommunications, water and sewer utility services in rural areas of the United States.


Southeastern Data Cooperative (SEDC) | Provides utilities with cutting-edge billing and accounting solutions, including prepaid metering, fleet management, automated meter infrastructure, online bill pay, OMS integration, real-time secure credit card payment gateway, remote payment systems and more.
