CFC offers an attractive salary and benefits package that reflects our Total Rewards philosophy. To help our employees achieve their professional and personal goals, we offer a generous total compensation package that includes components such as salary, incentive plans, medical coverage, paid time off, retirement, professional development and wellness programs.

In many cases, we offer a choice of benefits, so employees can select the option that is best for them. CFC contributes a significant portion of the cost of many of these benefit plans.

Compensation

We offer competitive salaries that reflect the value of our positions in the talent marketplace. In addition to base pay, employees may qualify for additional compensation through:

  • Short-term incentive plan with annual payout based on the achievement of yearly corporate goals. Long-term incentive plan with three-year payout based on future corporate goals.
  • Spot awards of cash or noncash awards to acknowledge employee contributions toward corporate or departmental strategic goals or target measures. Referral bonus for successfully referring new employees to CFC.

Health, Disability and Insurance Benefits

Our health and disability coverage benefits include:

  • CFC offers a choice of several health, dental and vision insurance plan options for employees and their families along with a flexible spending account plan with health care and dependent care options.
  • CFC has short-term disability plan coverage at no cost to employees. There is also a long-term disability plan, a voluntary benefit offered on a shared-cost basis.
  • We provide a full scope of life and accidental death insurance options for employees and dependents.
  • Employees may choose to participate in these additional voluntary benefit programs: long-term care insurance for employees and their extended family and legal insurance.

Paid Leave

We have generous leave policies, including annual vacation leave that increases with length of service and ample sick leave along with nine fixed and two discretionary holidays each year. Other authorized paid absences for jury duty leave, military leave and bereavement leave are available.

Retirement Programs

CFC offers opportunities for employees to build their long-term financial security through retirement benefits that include a 401(k) plan with CFC matching contribution after one year of service and a Defined Benefit Pension Plan funded by CFC.

Professional Development

CFC employees can craft a development plan that helps achieve career and personal goals through tuition assistance for college and certificate programs; in-house career, professional and leadership training and development programs; and membership in professional societies.

Wellness and Work-Life Benefits

CFC's wellness and work-life benefits include an onsite fitness center and classes; flexible work hours; Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the CFC Employee Club.

Other Advantages

A few of the other features that make working at CFC special include:

  • CFC employees are eligible for membership in the Department of Agriculture Federal Credit Union.
  • Employees have access to unlimited free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Mail services allow employees to send packages at CFC’s negotiated discount rates. We have an onsite pickup and delivery dry cleaning service.
  • CFC offers community outreach opportunities and service, and other recognition awards.
