Stratton Edwards is CFC’s director of Federal Relations, serving as the primary contact between Congress, federal agencies and CFC. Prior to joining CFC, Edwards worked at a small lobbying firm where he concentrated on appropriations issues focusing on energy, environment and agriculture policy. In this position, he worked extensively with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to lobbying, Edwards worked for U.S. Rep. Tom Cole of Oklahoma, staffing for the Congressman on the House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee. Edwards handled funding and policy issues concerning the Department of Interior, EPA and the U.S. Forest Service among other issues. Edwards started his time on Capitol Hill working for U.S. Rep. John Sullivan of Oklahoma. While in law school, Edwards also worked at the Department of Interior in the Office of the Solicitor and with Marathon Oil’s office of government affairs.
Stratton holds a bachelor’s degree and his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis, as well as a master’s degree in political management from the George Washington University.
