At its organizational meeting following the 52nd CFC Annual Membership Meeting in San Antonio on June 14, the CFC Board of Directors re-elected the current board officers to serve a full term and selected committee chairs. The CFC board held a special meeting in November 2020, following the passing of CFC Board President Dean Tesch, to elect board leadership for the remaining 2020–2021 term.
During the annual meeting, CFC Board President Alan Wattles unveiled Dean’s portrait to Debra Tesch, Dean’s wife of 36 years, and Lew and Yolanda Tesch, his father and stepmother. His portrait will join past CFC board presidents as a permanent legacy of Dean’s leadership and contributions to CFC not only as a board president, but also as a director for more than five years.
“I remember when Dean was first elected to an officer position on the CFC board,” Wattles shared. “He was simply elated, you could say giddy, over being elected secretary-treasurer of the board. I know that not only did he mean a lot to us, but CFC meant a lot to Dean.”
