CFC Launches Next-Generation Investment System

In January, CFC will implement an upgrade to the platform that manages online member investments and cash management functions. The change will provide a more user-friendly experience along with enhanced functionality, such as the ability to place future-dated investments and a streamlined process for multiple trade entries, in addition to more sophisticated reporting.

“Our new system is designed to deliver greater convenience and improved security for CFC members transacting investment and cash management services online,” Capital Markets Vice President Vu Ly said. “CFC is committed to providing the best possible online experience for our members. I think they will be pleased with the new features.”

The new application affects short-term member investments in CFC Commercial Paper, Select Notes and the Daily Liquidity Fund, along with CFC’s Paying Agent Service, QuickDraw and online loan advances.

The improved Member Website interface will be more intuitive and offer new features:

  • Future-dated transactions: Schedule investments ahead of time for added flexibility.
  • Consolidated trade placement: Place and track multiple trades from one convenient dashboard.
  • Enhanced data views: Access more detailed and customizable portfolio information at a glance while experiencing an improved look and feel.
  • Real-time electronic confirmations: Receive instant confirmations for all investment activities.

“Our previous systems, while reliable, no longer met the evolving needs of a dynamic investment environment. By upgrading our technology, we are investing in tools that will better support members’ goals—today and well into the future,” Ly said.

Once the new system is implemented, members can continue to sign on using their existing credentials to access their investment accounts—no new set-up or passwords are needed. When the new interface debuts, a series of training videos will be available on the Member Website covering all the key features and offering navigation tips.

The upgrade will take place starting at 2 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on Friday, Jan. 9, and should conclude by 8 a.m. ET on Monday, Jan. 12. During this time, all online transactions and investment activities will be suspended. CFC requests that members make investments or cash management transactions prior to 2 p.m. on Jan. 9 to avoid any potential disruptions.

Members who have questions can contact their associate vice president, regional vice president or the Member Center at membercenter@nrucfc.coop or 800-424-2955 from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. ET on business days.
