CFC recently launched several new digital tools to assist member cooperatives, whether it’s a quick rate design comparison or assistance to develop equity management options.
CFC’s Bill Comparison and Equity Management financial calculators provide electric cooperatives with the ability to model financial scenarios quickly and accurately. These tools are designed to simplify complex calculations and help leaders make informed decisions about rates, equity and long-term planning. They offer seamless integration that translates to other CFC tools, like Compass and BudgetPro, ensuring consistent financial planning.
The Bill Comparison Calculator enables distribution cooperatives to compare residential members’ energy bills across different usage levels and rate structures. This new calculator can clearly demonstrate rate impacts to members, executives and directors.
The Equity Management Calculator enables cooperatives to visualize changes in their equity position based on individual financial goals with calculations using equity as a percentage of total capitalization. This new calculator provides insights into how to align equity targets with strategic objectives.
“We developed these two new calculators based on member feedback and financial needs,” CFC Vice President of Financial Tools & Analysis Aaron Stallings said. “These tools were built to help electric cooperative leaders make better decisions, save time, provide greater transparency and to better align with budgeting and forecasting processes.”
CFC Members can access these calculators by logging in to the CFC Member Website and going to the Financial Analysis section.
“CFC is committed to enhancing these tools based on member feedback, ensuring they continue to meet evolving cooperative needs,” Stallings said.
