Former CFC Board Member Jimmy LaFoy Passes

Jimmy LaFoy, a trustee since 2009 with Baldwin Electric Membership Corporation in Summerdale, Alabama, died May 2. He was 81.

LaFoy served on the CFC Board of Directors from 2015 to 2020, and as chairman of the Finance Advisory and Corporate Relations committees. He also served as secretary-treasurer on the board of trustees for Baldwin EMC.

“It was a pleasure to work with Jimmy on the CFC board,” CFC Board President Alan Wattles said. “He brought insightful perspective, as well as provided thoughtful ideas during his time on the board. Jimmy and Shirley were the epitome of southern hospitality and charm, and Kay and I enjoyed getting to know them both. Jimmy will be greatly missed by us all.”
