New Speakers Added to CFC IBES Lineup; Deadlines Approach
CFC CEO Andrew Don will take the stage with John Doherty, managing director of Investment-Grade Debt Capital Markets for Truist Securities, and Dennis Pidherny, managing director of Public Finance for Fitch Ratings, for a conversation about banking, capital markets and ratings agencies at the CFC Independent Borrowers Executive Summit (IBES) 2021, being held November 15–17 in Tampa, Florida.
Also joining the powerful lineup of speakers are best-selling author and world-renowned speaker Peter Sheahan and physician and former U.S. Food and Drug Administration commissioner Scott Gottlieb. Doherty has been with Truist Securities since 2013, where he focuses on the marketing and execution of investment-grade bond issues for a variety of corporate issuers.
Pidherny is responsible for overseeing the analytical activities for Fitch Ratings’ Municipal Utilities Groups and its Municipal Structured Finance Group. He also is responsible for the development and implementation of rating criteria, presenting and disseminating the firm’s research to a wide variety of issuers, institutional investors, lenders and other financial intermediaries.

Gottlieb will share his perspectives on how COVID-19 overwhelmed America’s pandemic preparations and how we must view public health through the lens of national security to improve our preparedness for the future.
