CFC Board President Bruce Vitosh presided over his final official duties during the 54th CFC Annual Membership Meeting in Seattle June 19 as his second term on the CFC board came to an end.
“As a farm boy growing up in Nebraska, I never dreamed or imagined that I would one day be associated with an organization that is as important to rural America as CFC,” Vitosh shared during his President’s Report. “I must admit that CFC’s headquarters in Dulles, Virginia, couldn’t appear more different than the Vitosh family barn, but they have more in common than meets the eye.”
He shared how he learned about service, integrity and excellence by supporting his family’s livelihood, following through on his commitments to his father and doing things to the very best of his ability.
“Of course, those are CFC’s core values,” Vitosh said. “The same values that came to anchor my years on the Vitosh family farm are the ones that anchor every decision CFC makes for its electric cooperative member-owners.”
Vitosh shared how CFC has grown by leaps and bounds under the leadership of CEO Andrew Don over the last two years. He spotlighted CFC’s new broker-dealer and leasing programs and how Don has made digitization a CFC strategic priority.
“While our finance cooperative continues to transform before our eyes, it’s reassuring to know that the same core values continue to guide CFC in everything it does,” Vitosh said. “It’s no wonder that a humble farm boy like me feels so at home with a billion-dollar national organization like CFC.”
Vitosh concluded his President’s Report, “I can assure you that CFC is second-to-none when it comes to demonstrating service, integrity and excellence as your most trusted financial resource.”
