CFC Announces New Financial Tools & Analysis Webinar Series

CFC Senior Financial and Industry Consultant Adam Hargett will kick off the first CFC Quarterly Financial Tools & Analysis webinar Wednesday, May 22, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time when he explores new CFC BudgetPro enhancements launching this summer.

CFC BudgetPro is a tool specifically designed to assist electric cooperatives of all sizes in preparing their annual budget. It is a Microsoft Excel-based model designed to be user friendly and flexible. Whether your system budgets at a comprehensive or aggregate level, the model assists in accumulating, assembling and classifying the vast amounts of data involved in the budget process.

Upcoming CFC BudgetPro enhancements include:

• Importing actual transaction data, pro forma operating statement amounts and certain employee data.
• A new troubleshooting feature to identify common export file errors.
• A new BudgetPro tips and tricks publication to help users navigate the tool more effectively and efficiently.
• Optional use of load factor to budget Power Cost demand component.
• Expansion of rate blocks within Power Cost for demand and energy costs.
• An introduction sheet to address the most common frequently asked questions and important information to get started with BudgetPro.
• An option to defer Retirement & Security benefits by employee.
• The addition of new RUS ratios: RUS MDSC and RUS MTIER.
