Following hurricanes Helene and Milton, CFC made donations to electric cooperative employee emergency assistance funds in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The funds were created by statewide associations and their members to assist cooperative employees recovering from natural disasters and other emergencies. CFC is also working with Georgia’s statewide association to provide their electric cooperative employees with financial assistance to support their rebuilding efforts as well.
In addition to supporting statewide associations, CFC is working with nearly 30 electric cooperatives across the five states to put in place emergency lines of credit (ELOCs) to ensure they have quick access to funds to support their restoration and recovery efforts. CFC members can contact their associate vice president to learn more about what ELOC options are available.
