Aligning Your Strategic Plan with Your Enterprise Risks

(2 CPE/Business Management & Organization)(.2 CEU)

Examine how enterprise risk management (ERM) ties into a cooperative’s strategic plan and why it’s important to make the connection between ERM and strategic operations. Utilizing a case study, work with fellow cooperative leaders to evaluate risk and integrate ERM goals and mitigation strategies into your strategic plan.

The C-Suite View on Commitment to Excellence

(2 CPE/Business Law)(.2 CEU)

This workshop takes a fresh look through the executive lens at CFC’s seminal report, “Commitment to Excellence: A Guide to Developing Board Policies for Financial Best Practices.” Commitment to Excellence training uses case studies to look at approaches electric cooperative executive staff should follow to demonstrate principled leadership, financial stewardship, effective governance and risk-management oversight.

Engaged Leadership—The Link Between Leadership and Employee Engagement

(2 CPE/Personnel and Human Resources)(.2 CEU)

Due to the turmoil of the past few years, the way we work, interact and lead has changed dramatically. For the first time in a decade, employee engagement is trending down. While the foundational aspects of leadership remain the same, these changes affect the manner in which leaders must guide cooperatives and their employees. In this session, we will discuss the impact the pandemic has had on employee expectations and engagement—and how to lead through this new mindset to create a more engaged workforce.

Setting Rates in an Increasing Cost Environment

(1.5 CPE/Specialized Knowledge)(.1 CEU)

While inflation is a factor in long-term rate projections, the current inflationary changes and trends are unrivaled since the 1980s. This session will examine best practices to manage short-term volatility while still planning for long-term success and stability.
