Alisha Pinto is a senior energy industry analyst in CFC’s Utility Research & Policy team. Prior to joining CFC, Pinto was an energy specialist at the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), she managed the Clean Cooking Fund. She prepared and implemented investment projects in Mozambique and Rwanda, developed sectoral analytical tools and products, conducted energy access surveys in Liberia and Nepal, and exercised overall fund management. Prior to joining the World Bank, Pinto was a research associate at the Duke University Household Health and Energy Initiative. She also worked on foreign policy and education consulting at organizations such as the International Water Management Institute, EY-Parthenon Group and Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations. Pinto holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Xavier’s College, University of Mumbai.
