The CFC Summer Summit will take place in San Antonio June 14–16 and provide an opportunity for members to gather with peers, learn from prominent thought leaders and to conduct the important business of national organizations.
“CFC will provide a livestream of the sessions if you cannot join us in person, allowing members to watch the conference from wherever they are,” CFC Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations Brad Captain said. “We’re also excited to announce that, following changes to CDC, local and convention center guidelines, we now have additional capacity available to host members at the Summit.”
The CFC Summer Summit livestream will be a view-only broadcast available on the CFC Member Website. Viewers will not be able to interact with speakers and attendees or ask questions.
No registration is required to watch the sessions, but members must have a Member Website account to log in and access the feed. Members who do not have an account for the CFC Member Website can create an account by visiting the Member Website Login page and then clicking the Request Account link at the top of the page. Members needing assistance can click on the How to Create Your Website Account link on the CFC Member Website Login page. Members should submit their website account request by June 11. More details about the livestream will be provided closer to the broadcast date.
The Henry B. González Convention Center has ended its mask, social distance and temperature check requirements following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) updated guidelines that fully vaccinated Americans no longer need to wear a mask or maintain distance indoors.
“Of course, all attendees who feel more comfortable wearing a mask and practicing social distancing are still welcome to do so,” Captain said. “We will have designated mask-only seating areas for those who prefer them.”
The CDC has also advised anyone who has not been fully vaccinated, including the two-week post-injection waiting period, should continue wearing a mask that covers their nose and mouth, stay six feet apart from others, avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
In-person and livestream viewers will hear from the following speakers:
All members can now register for the event until Friday, June 4, or until the Summit reaches maximum capacity. The hotel cutoff date for the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter has been extended to Thursday, May 27. The Grand Hyatt San Antonio will offer the group rate on a rate and room availability basis only. Unfortunately, due to limited space for members, guests will not be able to attend the sessions, but guests are welcome at the breakfast functions and the reception honoring Sheldon Petersen.
Registration, agenda and updated event protocols are available in the Events section of the CFC Member Website. For questions, contact CFC’s Events and Training team at events@nrucfc.coop or 800-424-2954.
