CFC KRTA Pro Enhancements Now Available

Earlier this summer, CFC released the 2022 Key Ratio Trend Analysis (KRTA) results and launched KRTA Pro. KRTA Pro builds off the annual KRTA reports that help distribution cooperatives benchmark their financial and operational performance. 

“I’m excited to announce CFC added three new KRTA Pro features addressing member feedback and enhancement requests,” CFC Senior Vice President and Chief Banking Officer Joel Allen said. “Our team is also working on ways to improve the CFC Form 7 submission process and enhance data visualizations.”

Recently released KRTA Pro enhancements include:

• Expanded custom peer group capabilities. Create custom peer groups and fine tune a search by selecting specific states as well as all of the United States.
• New state median reports and heat map. Access state median reports and display a U.S. heat map as well as a ranking from highest to lowest for all ratios.
• New stacked column visualization. View the components of specific ratios and better understand the reason for a change over time. 

These new features improve upon KRTA Pro’s ability to display 145 ratios with more than 20 years of data online, without the need to download any files. Members can export chart images directly into PowerPoint and data into Excel and compare data against standard peer groups including U.S. median, state, consumer size, power supplier, plant growth, and upper and lower quartiles. 

CFC members with “Account Portfolio” permission can access KRTA Pro by logging into the CFC Member Website, opening the Financial Analysis tab and then selecting KRTA Pro. 

CFC Compass Improvements Coming

CFC will soon launch an enhanced version of CFC Compass, the 10-year financial forecasting software model that helps members analyze a variety of financial strategies. 

In November, members will be able to download the new-and-improved CFC Compass model that will be more efficient and faster to run. Members will also be able to access a new CFC Compass guide and video tutorials on the CFC Member Website.

Virtual Classroom Replay Available

CFC members can watch a replay of the October 16 CFC Virtual Classroom Series, “CFC Compass and KRTA Enhancements” to explore the new enhancements to CFC Compass and KRTA Pro.
