Former Boeing/Ford CEO, Economic Insider Highlight CFC IBES

Alan Mulally

Alan Mulally served The Boeing Company for 37 years as executive vice president and as president, chief executive officer and member of the board at The Ford Motor Company from 2006 to 2014.

Mulally led Ford’s transformation into one of the world's leading automobile companies and the #1 automobile brand in the U.S. He guided Ford in working together on a compelling vision, comprehensive strategy and implementation of the One Ford plan.

Prior to joining Ford, Mulally served Boeing as executive vice president, and president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and of Boeing Information, Space and Defense Systems. Mulally led the transformation of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Boeing Information and Defense Systems to the #1 commercial airplane company and aerospace company in the world.

Mulally currently serves on the board of directors of Carbon 3D and the Mayo Clinic.

Mulally holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the University of Kansas and a master’s in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Kevin Warsh

Kevin Warsh serves as the Shepard Family Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution and is a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He advises several private and public companies, including serving on the board of directors of UPS. 

Warsh conducts extensive research in the fields of economics and finance. He issued an independent report to the Bank of England proposing reforms in the conduct of monetary policy, and the U.K. Parliament recently adopted the report’s recommendations. 

Warsh served as a member of the Federal Reserve Board from 2006 until 2011, as the Fed’s representative to the G20 and as the Fed’s emissary to emerging and advanced economies in Asia. In addition, he was administrative governor, managing and overseeing the Fed’s operations, personnel and financial performance. 

From 2002 until 2006, Warsh served as special assistant to the president for economic policy and executive secretary of the White House National Economic Council. Previously, Warsh was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions department at Morgan Stanley, serving as vice president and executive director. 

Warsh received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, and his law degree from Harvard Law School.

Jon Taffer

Jon Taffer is the entertainer, the entrepreneur, the strategic adviser, the thought leader that transforms industries.
