John Suter serves as CFC’s vice president of Economic Research, a role that provides capital markets and general economic research and analysis to CFC executive staff, directors and members. Suter regularly delivers updates on the state of the economy at rural electric meetings across the country and oversees the economic columns for CFC’s flagship publication—Solutions News Bulletin. He also records CFC podcasts on the economic landscape. Suter joined CFC in 1984 as an operations analyst and has performed a variety of roles. He strives to understand members’ business needs and develop appropriate products to meet them. He holds a master’s degree in economics from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in finance and investments from George Washington University. He is also a chartered financial analyst.
