On October 5, retired CFC CEO Sheldon Petersen will be inducted into the Cooperative Hall of Fame at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. This is the highest honor that the U.S. cooperative community bestows on its heroes. Petersen will join former CFC CEOs J.K Smith and Charles Gill, as well as former CFC Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations Rich Larochelle, in earning this prestigious recognition.
CFC is inviting individuals to join us in saluting Petersen on his induction into the Cooperative Hall of Fame through a special "Friends of Sheldon Petersen" listing in the ceremony's souvenir program. Those who donate will also be listed on heroes.coop.
To be included, individuals may make a personal donation of $100 to the Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF), a nonprofit organization that works in communities around the country to help people help themselves through cooperative solutions. Contributions are tax-deductible and will not only honor Petersen, but also support CDF.
The deadline to participate is September 1. Individuals who wish to congratulate Petersen via the listing should visit the website or contact CDF Associate Director Kirstie Boyette at kboyette@ncba.coop.
