Independent electric distribution cooperatives that do not borrow from the Rural Utilities Service have until April 30 to submit their CFC Form 7. This annual financial and operating report is used by CFC for credit underwriting and loan decisions as well as to calculate Key Ratio Trend Analysis (KRTA) data. This July will mark the 50th year CFC has provided the KRTA report to its members.
To assist with the process, CFC has created a five-part online training series specifically for independent borrowers.
“These short video tutorials—broken into modules that can be viewed in full or by topic—guide electric cooperative CFOs or senior-level accountants through the process of accessing, completing, checking and submitting their CFC Form 7,” CFC Senior Manager of Financial Tools and Analysis Carolina Park said.
The tutorials cover:
“Each of the five modules are divided into chapters to allow users to easily find the most relevant topic,” Park explained. “Members can access the CFC Form 7 Tutorial Series catalog to find the chapter that works best for them. We’re also available to answer any questions members may have.”
In addition, members can watch a replay of “CFC Form 7 Tips for 2025,” an Extra Credit Education Series webinar that provides tips for completing and submitting the CFC Form 7.
