CFC Debuts BudgetPro 6.0 with Expanded Features

Today CFC releases BudgetPro 6.0, introducing a range of enhancements designed to streamline the budgeting process, improve data integration and expand financial reporting capabilities.

CFC BudgetPro is a Microsoft Excel-based model that helps electric cooperatives prepare their annual operating budgets.

“BudgetPro has long been a trusted resource for cooperative finance professionals, and this release builds on that foundation,” CFC Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer Amy Luongo said. “The addition of a monthly cash flow statement gives users another important view of their financial position, while QuickStart helps reduce manual effort and makes the budgeting process more efficient and intuitive.”

What’s New in BudgetPro 6.0

  • QuickStart: A guided, step-by-step process that leverages imported accounting data or a prior-year BudgetPro budget to create a new budget more efficiently. QuickStart simplifies the initial setup process, reduces manual data entry and takes advantage of a process established within NISC's iVUE platform that allows users to generate BudgetPro accounting data files for import.
  • Rebranding and Redesign: The comprehensive redesign improves usability and aligns the platform with CFC's updated branding. The release also includes a redesigned Power Cost input page that provides greater flexibility by supporting up to five power suppliers along with enhanced Key Results and Analytics Power BI dashboards that deliver improved reporting and insights.
  • Monthly Financial Statements: Monthly financial reporting capabilities have been expanded with the addition of a monthly balance sheet and monthly cash flow statement, complementing the existing monthly statement of operations and providing users with a more comprehensive view of financial performance.

“As cooperative operations continue to evolve, financial tools need to evolve with them,” Luongo said. “CFC BudgetPro 6.0 reflects feedback from users and delivers enhancements that improve efficiency and flexibility while creating a more streamlined budgeting experience.”

CFC BudgetPro is part of a suite of financial tools—including KRTA Pro and CFC CompassPro—designed to support cooperative staff in planning, analysis and decision-making. When CFC BudgetPro 6.0 is released, the software and the updated “CFC BudgetPro Tips and Tricks” guide will be available for download from the CFC Member Website (login required).
