CFC Congratulates Kansas Co-op Champion on Hall of Fame Induction

Former CFC Director Charles Ayers was inducted into the Kansas Cooperative Hall of Fame this month. Ayers, a long-time trustee of Wheatland Electric Cooperative and director of Sunflower Electric Power Corporation and ACES Power Marketing, served on the CFC board in 2009.

CFC Senior Vice President of Member Services Joel Allen attended the induction ceremony and commented, “It’s always been my pleasure to work with Charles, both as a trustee at one of our 100 percent CFC borrowers and on the CFC board. This honor is well earned and deserved for his many contributions and his passion for supporting cooperative communities.”

Sponsored by the Kansas Cooperative Council, the Hall of Fame was established in 1999 to recognize Sunflower State cooperative pioneers who have been instrumental in developing and advancing the cooperative movement. Ayers’ service to the industry spans more than 46 years.
