Walsh, Denver Highlight Compelling Final Day of CFC Forum

Futurist Mike Walsh and former U.S. Navy SEALs Commander Rorke Denver take the stage on the final day of CFC Forum 2023, which is being held June 19–21 at the Seattle Convention Center Summit Building. The conference spotlights topics specifically tailored for electric cooperative senior leaders and directors/trustees.


Mike Walsh

Mike Walsh is the CEO of Tomorrow, a global consultancy designing companies for the 21st century. For the past 20 years, he has been a leading authority on disruptive innovation, digital transformation and new ways of thinking. Walsh advises some of the world’s biggest organizations on reinvention and change. His talent is being able to bridge the two worlds of disruptive technology and business leadership.

Walsh interviews innovators, scientists, entrepreneurs and corporate revolutionaries every year. Many of these conversations feature in his popular podcast, “Between Worlds.” 

A prolific writer and commentator, Walsh’s views have appeared in a wide range of publications, including Inc., Businessweek, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. “Futuretainment,” Walsh’s first book, predicted how the smartphone would reshape the media and the imminent rise of social media, digital influencers and streaming entertainment. Walsh’s latest book, “The Algorithmic Leader,” offers a hopeful and practical guide for reinventing leadership and organizations.

Rorke Denver

Rorke Denver has run every phase of training for the U.S. Navy SEALs and led special-forces missions in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and other international hot spots. His first book, “Damn Few: Making the Modern SEAL Warrior,” takes you inside the fascinating, demanding SEAL training program. In his second book, “Worth Dying For: A Navy SEAL’s Call to a Nation,” Commander Denver tackles the questions that have emerged about America’s past decade at war.

Denver was the officer in charge of Bravo Platoon of SEAL Team 3 in Iraq’s Al Anbar Province in 2006, which was one of the most combat-heavy deployments of any regular SEAL team since Vietnam. Denver was awarded the Bronze Star with “V” for valorous action in combat.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in global business leadership from the University of San Diego.
