Antony Davies is director of economic research at CFC. Prior to joining CFC, he was a professor of economics, teaching at the undergraduate and Ph.D. levels and conducting research in econometric analysis and public policy. Davies has authored several books: “Understanding Statistics” (Cato Institute), “Principles of Microeconomics” (Cognella) and “Cooperation & Coercion” (ISI Books). He has written hundreds of opinion pieces for major publications including The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, New York Post, The Washington Post and Newsday. His educational videos on YouTube have tens of millions of downloads, and his weekly podcast, “Words & Numbers,” has over 400 episodes and 2 million downloads. Davies was chief financial officer at Parabon Computation, founded several technology companies and is co-author on a patent for distributed super-computation. He earned his B.S. in economics from Saint Vincent College and Ph.D. in economics from the State University of New York at Albany.
